On September 9th, BC High kicked off the school year with the annual Freshman Football Night. The event kicked off with the annual Freshman and Senior Mentor Dodgeball Tournament. Once each Monserrat group was assembled, the games began on the front lawn. After some competitive matches, the seniors and freshmen rushed inside for pizza and soda. Everyone ate and enjoyed each other’s company, waiting in anticipation for the season opener.

To pass time, people went outside to play football, frisbee, and soccer until about 6:30, when the freshmen entered the stadium to watch the game. The Eagles quickly took the lead with a Daniel Abraham breakout run on the second play. The student crowd of freshman and seniors roared as the referees signaled a touchdown.

Students, parents, and staff all enjoyed gathering as a community and rooting for their team. At the half, the score was 41-12 with the Eagles leading. By the end of the fourth quarter, the Eagles secured a 61-39 win for the season opener.
